Message from your Fundraising Coordinator -- Banner Sales ideas and techniques

Message from your Booster Club Fundraiser: Parents, please share this information with your player. Most teenagers do not have much experience with sales and this is a great opportunity for them to develop new skills and earn money to pay for their football fees. Now is the time to get our local businesses in our community supporting the Skyline Football Program!  After another " Winning Season"   and   "Sell Out Crowds"   this is the place to be on Friday Nights!  ****Please note on the banner sales when talking to local businesses, we have also included social media marketing (on flyer), we will tag those businesses in our social media posts to help increase their online presence.  Also with some of our athletes receiving D1 offers, it can create working relationships for potential NIL deals for those athlete(s) and place of business.   When shopping at local business', as an example, getting a suit altered for   Homecoming   at the world famous Italian tailor...

2022 Banner Sales -- Individual Optional Fundraiser Information

Coach Rowbotham has presented the 2022 Football Fees to the team this morning. The fee for this season is $665, which must be paid or a  payment plan worked out by August 25 for your athlete to participate in practice or games. This is a new school policy that will apply to all sports, clubs, activities, etc. (The Varsity travel trip to Idaho will have an additional, separate travel fee.)  The Football Program has organized an Individual Optional School Fundraiser to help players with these fees -- Banner Sales. The banners are 3'x5' vinyl banners that hang on the fence outside of the stadium to show family or local business support for Skyline Football. Fundraising dollars go directly to the school and apply to an athlete's players fees or Varsity travel fee after a small administrative/printing cost. Any excess funds after player fee or travel fee will revert to the general football program account to be used for team purposes. There are several Banner/Sponsorship packa...

Team Hype Videos

Many thanks to all who supported Skyline Football at our Cafe Rio fundraiser this past Thursday and Family BBQ on Tuesday. This has been a great summer of conditioning, and I think our team is well prepared to officially start the season on July 25! Weekly Hype Videos The Booster Board is excited about the possibility of Weekly Hype Videos for Skyline Football. Steve Tate has connected us with a great sports videographer that has experience with social media and the value of short videos that can be spread quickly, as well as produced much quicker than old-school highlight videos. You can see the video he produced from our padded camp , either using the link below, or viewing it on Instagram. Many of our boys and parents have already shared it on their personal social media platforms, and it brings a level of visibility to our program that we haven't had for several years. This is the "Mad Dog" product of the 2020s, and Skyline Football should be at the forefront . https:...

Message from Coach Rowbotham

Skyline Families, I can't thank you enough for a wonderful night last night. The BBQ was amazing and it was fun to see so many people having fun playing kickball! So many families put in countless hours of work to make the BBQ possible, thank you for your time and effort. Skyline is such a wonderful community and we are so thankful to be part of it. It is such an honor to work with your sons everyday and see them improve and have fun building relationships with their teammates and coaches. Football is a very special sport, because it brings so many people together and the unity that comes from football is extremely unique. Thank you for letting your son be involved in the Skyline program. It takes an entire community to make this possible, so please know that I appreciate everything you do to make this program run! We are all excited for the season to start on Monday July 25th! Thanks again and Go Eagles! --   John Rowbotham Email for Coach Rowbotham should be sent to rowjohn33@gma...

80 Hamburgers needed for our Skyline Football Family BBQ!

Image
Hello parents of the Skyline Football team! This is Anne Waterman and I am the Skyline Booster Board volunteer coordinator.  We are in need of 80 hamburgers grilled and ready to go for our football family BBQ tomorrow night (7/12/22) at 5:45 at Wasatch Junior High.  If you could help us out by signing up on the SIgnUp Genius app that would be AWESOME!  We ask a lot of our parents but in order to have an amazing program we need lots of parent volunteers.  Thanks so much! P.S. If you would prefer you could split the duty with another parent and then you only need to grill 20 burgers (please sign up on the app and then make your own arrangements with another parent if you choose to do this.)  We don't want our players to go hungry! https://www.signupgenius.com/index.cfm?go=s.signup&urlid=10c0e48aea62ea2fac61-7on71&view=calendar&mo=1656630000 7 on 7 & Breakaway Volunteer Sign-ups

August 25-26 Travel Trip

I've had a few questions about our upcoming travel trip. For planning purposes, the Varsity team for this trip will consist of all seniors, all juniors, and a few sophomores (invited during the 1st week of fall camp by coaches (July 25-29)). No freshmen will go on this travel trip. There will be a travel fee for this trip in addition to regular player fees. The team will travel to Idaho to play Post Falls High School on Friday August 26 at 2pm. The game will take place at Middleton High School in Middleton Idaho (north of Boise). The team will drive up on Thursday August 25, stay at the Springhill Suites in Boise West/Eagle, play on Friday afternoon at 2pm, then drive home Friday night.  We hope to have lots of family support at the game. Google Maps estimates just over 5 hours from Skyline to Boise.
