Thanks to all who attended our Senior Recognition Ceremony last night. We had great weather and enjoyed celebrating our senior players. Thanks to all who participated in the event, and especially our Senior Committee members Andrea Wright and Hilarie Sedgwick for their efforts. Photos will be coming to senior families in the next day or two. Tonight is our last regular season home game vs. East High. We hope to see you all there. If not, the game is on TV on KJZZ14 at 7pm. We want you to have an idea of what will happen on Wednesday evening at our Senior Recognition Ceremony. Please read to the end so you know what to expect. All parents are invited to attend. The idea behind the Ceremony is to celebrate our seniors the day before their last home game so they can fully enjoy the evening. In the past, senior recognition has happened after the game (gets way too late, what if they lose and are angry, could be cold) or before the game (interferes with pre-game warmup, distracts players from game preparation, can be interrupted by opposing team's warmup). We tried the Senior Recognition on the night before the last home game in 2021, and it worked really well. Several players commented that they could enjoy it without worrying about the game and being distracted. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 7pm. Warm Up: Your team will warm up on the NORTH end of the field and be on the east sideline during the game. 6:45pm National Anthem 7:00pm Kick off Half-Time September 23 is Homecoming and Half-Time will be 20 minutes Post-Game: Your team will exit the field immediately after the game is over. The team will go where they came in on the south end and board the buses. Spectators: Fans and patrons will need to enter and exit through the gates to the east of the field and sit in the east bleachers. Restroom facilities (Honey Buckets) are located on the East of the visitor bleachers as well as in the Southwest corner behind the concessions stand. Updated Football Schedule as of 9/13/22 Thursday 9/15 (Frosh): The Skyline Frosh Team will play the Brighton Frosh Team at the   Brighton   Stadium (Kickoff = 3:30pm / Checked out of Class at 1pm / Bus Leaves at 1:30pm) Thursday 9/15 (JV) : JV will have a BYE (however, all of our Sophomores that are currently playing JV will dress and play with the Frosh team) Thur sday 9/15 (Varsity): Varsity Run Thru Practice will be in the   Skyline Stadium   from 2:30pm to 3:30pm (Dressed and ready by 2:20pm) - Shells Seniors Football Group Photo -- 7pm @ the Stadium , dressed in all white uniforms. Wasn't that a great win on Friday?! Many thanks to our players and coaches for their preparation and the Homecoming Victory. We also appreciate Principal Nerdin and the SBO's for the fireworks after the game. Please note!  Both Thursday games are at Brighton due to the Referee Shortage. And Saturday morning film is an hour later so players can attend the earlier little league football games. Upcoming Dates: Positive Coaching Alliance meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday Sept 14 at 6:45pm for all athlete parents in the auditorium. We have 2 more regular season home games -- Friday September 16 vs. Brighton and Thursday September 29 vs. East. And maybe a playoff game, depending on our record in Region play (currently 1-0)!
